Back to normal!! (whatever that is)

Hey everybody, I hope yall had a blessed and safe Christmas! and a New Year filled with hope and joy!

Today I realized that it is getting close to going back to normal from the holidays. Everyone will go back to school and all the church functions will resume! I'm ready but also dreading it. I feel like as soon as our backs get a break from lifting *snap* life goes back to normal. I soooo enjoy going to church and getting out but sometimes its just easier to stay at home and not risk pulling something in your back lifting on the little man! But I know he is ready to get back on his schedule!! Still looking and working on figuren out how to get us a wheelchair van! We have a page on www.freecharitycars.org if anyone wants to check it out! Our screen name is ------>    lil Ds sister      Please check it out! Its another amazing site!! God bless you all and hopefully 2010 will be a GRAND year!!!!!!!

Answer to prayer

Yesterday came to me as both tragedy and blessing. Out of the tragedy of another person’s life comes to me a great blessing and answer to prayer. Sometime, more than a year ago, out of the tragedy of a stranger, I have the equipment that I need. Not only that, it was safe guarded and protected in a garage, ran and washed for the day that I would need it and would buy it.

A man’s Daughter Dies from the effect of MS about a year ago; today I have a nearly mint condition van with a wheelchair lift and all ready to go.  Rust free, low miles 69K it is 15 year old. and has been nicely waxed and kept in a garage.

God’s blessing in action.

Could he cure me, …  yes,  but,  I also believe I do more good speaking out and encouraging others and 'keep on keepin on' in spite of my “disability”.

Seeking help: need wheelchair van for son

I'm a newly single dad with three kids. My 12-yr old son has arthrogryposis and uses a power chair for mobility (he's functionally quadriplegic). I'm seeking a way to afford a used wheelchair van. Already working two jobs! I've spoken with all the manufacturers and dealers of vans and have the information for used vehicles, but need help to be able to move ahead with purchase. Any and all help would be most appreciated. I'm happy to provide whatever information might be useful in helping you decide. Thank you!

Hello, My brother Tom and I are both Veterans with disabilites(as far as we know our disabilities are not service related). Help us raise money to buy a 1960's home that has already been converted to allow wheelchair access, we are asking $400,000 to purchase and update this home. This home already has a wheelchair custom bathroom that would fit Tom's special care needs.  Also we found a used wheelchair van, E250 Ford Van with wheel chair lift, for this we need to raise $60,000, to purchase and cover tax, licences and 1st year insurance. If you think you can help, please let me know, all we are asking for is gifts of $20, we believe it may take time, but help is out there. I am Tom's brother, caregiver and fellow Veteran. Tom served proudly in the U. S. Army 4 yrs in Active duty, and 8 yrs in The Reserve, I proudly served 13 yrs in the U. S. Air Force, We served as our Father and our GrandFathers proudly served before us. We both need a home to live in together and no longer can live in apartments. Please help us if you can. Thank you for reading of our need for a home of our own. May God bless you.

Thank you everyone for your suggestions, Tom is now at a Califorina Veterans home, and is doing well. I am living with my wife in a old home and because of her income and my disabilities, we do not qualify for programs to update the house. I live in Sacramento and am looking for ways to start a fund rasier to rase money for both the house repairs and to help pay for my perscriptions, I am on medicare and I pay over $900 a month, help.

I'M DANCING AS FAST AS I CAN......

Mom of 4...... Needs help ..... Husband has disc disease and is having a hard time finding work.

I work full time with a decent job, but in the past 2 months, we've been in 2 car accidents leaving us with a huge car repair bill for our van. At this time we have no vehicle and I am depending on rides back and forth -- I'm afraid I might lose my job.  I need it to transport the children - one in a wheelchair due to a birth defect.  I'm having a real hard time paying the bills right now and if someone can help with this one expense, I would be forever grateful

The cost for it is $3700.00 to be paid before I can pick it up.  If you'd like to help you can send the money right to the body shop or to me.

I would appreciate any help that may be out there.

Handicap accessability

Hell, I am the mother of two spcial needs children both of whom are in wheelchairs.  I am on a limited budget but need lots of things.  The most important being a wheelchair accesible vehicle.  If there is any one out there that may be able to help I'd love to share more of my story
